The collection

The foundation of every project.

Plain felt is the base of the whole catalogue: the same material as our carved, embossed or 3D collections, untransformed. Its melange, matte, velvety surface absorbs light as well as noise and gives walls a depth paint never achieves.

In 9 mm for glued surfaces, 12 mm for mechanical fixing and best performance, the 1220 × 2440 mm sheet cuts into any shape: classic rectangular panels, tiles, hexagons, lettering or silhouettes to your design. It is also the most economical collection per treated square metre.

The 55 colours mix freely within a single order: quiet tonal ranges for an office floor, bold contrasts for a break room, deep tones for a restaurant. Every order ships with its fire certificate and technical datasheet.

Frequently asked questions

Plain felt: your questions.

Which thickness should I choose, 9 or 12 mm?
The 12 mm offers the best absorption (measured NRC 0.85) and takes screwed fixings: the default choice for serious acoustic treatment. The 9 mm, more flexible and lighter, suits glued installs as continuous wall cladding and tighter budgets. Both share the same 55-colour chart and the same B-s1,d0 fire rating, with the certificate enclosed in every order.
Can custom shapes be cut from plain felt?
Yes, that is the point of this collection: the 1220 × 2440 mm sheet goes through digital cutting to produce tiles, hexagons, circles, waves, lettering or logos to your design. Send a vector file (or just an idea: we draw it), and you receive a proof before production. Offcuts are optimised to keep the budget in check.
Is plain felt enough to fix a room's acoustics?
In most cases, yes. Performance comes from the material and the covered area, not the relief: covering 15 to 30% of a room's hard surfaces with 12 mm felt radically changes its reverberation. Carved or 3D collections add a decorative gesture; plain felt does the acoustic work at the best cost. We size the useful area from your floor plan, free of charge, with the quote.
