The acoustic desk screen treats noise at its nearest source: the desk opposite. A PET felt desk divider fixed to the desktop absorbs your neighbour's voice, cuts visual distraction and gives everyone their territory back. Thirteen models, five fixings, made-to-measure available.

The principle
In an open-plan office, the number one sound nuisance is not the coffee machine or the corridor: it is the voice of the colleague opposite, one and a half metres from your ear. That voice arrives on a direct path, with no obstacle, and no ceiling treatment can intercept it. The desk screen sits exactly on that path: an absorbent office desk screen between the two workstations, at conversation height.
The material makes the difference. A reflective screen (glass, plexiglass, melamine) partially blocks the direct path but sends the energy elsewhere on the floor: the problem just moves. PET felt, being porous, absorbs the wave that hits it (NRC 0.80 to 0.85 measured to ISO 354): the voice loses its energy instead of bouncing. Across an equipped floor, the ambient level genuinely drops.
The desk screen does not do everything: for the overall ambient noise of a floor, you combine it with ceiling baffles and wall panels. But desk to desk, it is the most direct tool, and the cheapest per workstation treated.

The range
The range covers thirteen models, from 580 mm (the corner return or the small desk) to 1800 mm (the double-width bench), with 320 to 400 mm of useful height above the desktop. Two finishes dress the felt: embossing (quilting, horizontal lines, scatters of dots, a soft padded look) and engraving (round perforations, vertical grooves, more graphic patterns).
Corners come rounded or square, the 36 shades of the colour chart match your furniture, and made-to-measure takes over from the catalogue as soon as the workstation leaves the standard: U-shaped returns around a focus desk, cable-tidy notches, specific heights, a logo engraved into the material. A proof (BAT) validates each configuration before production.
To compose a coherent floor, the screens use the same shades as our hanging screens and our wall panels: the treatment of the desks, the zones and the walls speaks the same visual language.
Fixings
From the shared bench to the height-adjustable desk, every workstation finds its fixing.
The standard: two tightening clamps that grip the desktop (18 to 40 mm thick). Fitted in five minutes, removed without a trace, ideal in rented offices.
A stronger grip for the large 1400 to 1800 mm screens or thick desktops. Still no drilling, but with a reinforced seat.
The permanent fixing: brackets screwed under the desktop, a flush screen, no visible mechanism. For benches installed for good.
Slim legs, height-adjustable desktops, corner-return screens: two complementary supports cover the unusual configurations.
Which divider to choose
Three solutions often compared to separate workstations. Each has its scale.
And the partition? It works at the scale of the zone, not the desk: to isolate a whole team or close off a meeting corner, see our acoustic partitions. On a dense floor, desk screens and zone partitions complement each other.
The collections
Every photo shows a real product from our collections. Everything comes in 36 felt colours, 9 or 12 mm thick, and can be printed with your artwork.

Sizing it right
Height first. To cut the voice between two seated people, the screen must rise above the mouth-to-ear line: allow 300 to 400 mm above the desktop. Below that, the wave passes over; far beyond it, you lose standing eye contact and light, with no notable acoustic gain. Our standard heights target precisely this window.
The number next. Priority goes to face-to-face workstations (the shortest voice path), then to benches of four to six desks where conversations cross. Side screens earn their place when desks sit less than one metre twenty apart or along a circulation route. Equipping half the desks, well chosen, often beats equipping the whole floor at random.
The order last: if the floor resonates overall (hard ceiling, large glazing), start with the volume (ceiling, walls) then refine at the desk. If the nuisance is clearly the direct neighbour, the desk screen is the first move, the cheapest and the fastest to roll out. We help you prioritise from a photo of the floor and the number of workstations: it is included in the quote.
Certified measurements
Absorption measured by SGS in a reverberation room (ISO 354, type E mounting with a 200 mm air cavity). Test reports are supplied with every quote.

Alpha-s absorption coefficient per octave band. NRC = average at 250, 500, 1000 and 2000 Hz (SGS reports CZIN2502000039CM01 and CZIN2502000038CM01).
EN 13501-1:2018 (SBI EN 13823 + EN ISO 11925-2 tests): low contribution to fire, s1 smoke, no flaming droplets. Valid for walls, ceilings and free-standing partitions.
ASTM E84-2024: flame spread index 5 (Class A is 0 to 25), smoke developed index 300. The level required for interior walls and ceilings.
VOC emissions tested to ISO 16000: formaldehyde and TVOC not detected on day 7. French A+ label (decree 2011-321), certificate valid until 04/2029.

The felt of the screens is pinnable: memos, schedules and photos pin straight into the material, with no magnets or adhesive. The matt surface sends back no screen reflections and no glare, a detail that counts in front of a glazed bay. And the screen moves with the desk: the clamp fixings loosen and refit in a few minutes during a reshuffle.
Maintenance comes down to a pass with a soft-brush vacuum; a stain comes off with a damp cloth and neutral soap. The felt does not fray at the corners and does not mark from chair rubs. Its composition and recycled share are detailed on the PET felt data sheet, its absorption measurements on the NRC data sheet.
